Functional principle of forced synchronization
The cylinders are connected in series to ensure forced synchronization. The cylinder bores in the right fork are larger than those in the left fork tine, so that the volume shown in red in both tines is 100% identical. When the TeleKOOI forks are extended, the oil flows through a connecting hose from the right fork into the left fork, which is forced to extend as well. When the forks are retracted, the oil flows in the opposite direction. If a leak, e.g. in the piston seals, would cause uneven running, a compensation system ensures that the forks are aligned. The compensation system can also be used for flushing (venting).
