ROI calculation for mobile weighing technology

Mobile weighing systems allow cargo to be weighed directly in the flow of goods – without additional travel to a stationary scale. This significantly reduces downtime and personnel costs. There are basically two technologies:

• Weighing systems with electronic load cells: These display the weight immediately upon lifting the goods. The load cells are usually integrated into the forks or fork carriage – but this also provides less mechanical protection than internally installed systems.
• Hydraulic weighing systems: These use the hydraulic pressure in the forklift to determine the weight. The technology is completely installed in the vehicle and is therefore particularly protected. The weighing process is carried out by briefly raising and lowering the load. The entire process takes approximately 3-5 seconds.
