Functional principle of forced synchronization
The cylinders are connected in series for forced synchronization. For this purpose, the cylinder drills in the right fork are larger than those in the left fork so that the volume shown in red is 100% identical in both forks. When the KOOI®Reachforks are extended, the oil flows through a connecting hose from the right fork into the left fork, forcing it to extend as well. When the forks are retracted, the oil flows in exactly the opposite direction. If a leak in the piston seals, for example, would cause the forks to run out of sync, an equalization system ensures that the forks are aligned. The equalization system can also be used for flushing (bleeding).
