Retrofittable system on all telescopic forks

In the field of damage prevention to pallets and goods, we recommend the KOOI®Deflection Sensor, which indicates the horizontal position of the load. Once the sensor is installed and the load is picked up by the forks of the forklift, the system detects any fork deformation and also detects tire deformation.

The KOOI®Deflection system consists of a small sensor that is completely mounted in the tip of the telescopic fork. Because it is completely enclosed in the front of the telescopic fork, the sensor cannot be damaged and indicates the maximum deflection. The sensor works via Bluetooth and can be easily replaced if necessary. The KOOI®Deflection sensor can also be mounted on the side of standard forklift forks.

The forklift driver often has no idea how much this deflection of the forks is, as this process takes place outside the driver's field of vision. The sensor in the KOOI®Deflection System tells the driver how much deflection needs to be compensated by the tilt function of the forklift (mast or fork carriage tilt). With the KOOI®Deflection System, the forklift can be used even more efficiently. The handling speed can be increased, damage to goods, pallets and shelves reduced and safety increased.

Loads that are not horizontal can become unstable (see picture below). The KOOI®Deflection System is a small sensor that is attached to the tip of the telescopic forks. The sensor is completely enclosed at the front of the telescopic forks, is protected from damage and shows the maximum deflection at the tip of the forks. The sensor works wirelessly via Bluetooth and can be easily replaced. It can also be screwed to the side of a standard fork.

KOOI®Deflection System is a smart device that helps the forklift driver to align the forks horizontally. It is a very practical safety tool that ensures that the load is upright and does not tilt backwards or forwards when being lifted with the forklift forks. If a load is not level, a dangerous unstable situation can arise and the goods can fall off the pallet, with all the consequences. It is also extremely useful in applications such as double-deep pallet storage. When a load is moved forwards with an attachment such as a telescopic fork, it shows the total tilt. That is, it includes the deflection of the attachment, the mast and even the compression of the tires.

Some forklifts have a tilt indicator as standard, but it should be noted that this often does not show the actual deflection of the forks, but only the position of the mast or fork carriage.

The mast is vertical and the forks are horizontal.	When picking up the load, the forks bend downwards.	To keep the forks horizontal, the mast must be tilted backwards.
