Hydraulic weighing system TC3000-RS (SOLAS)

Weighing accuracy ± 0,2% of the reach stacker’s load capacity

When loading sea containers onto a ship, the weighing of the sea containers is required by the SOLAS directive. The very precise TC3000-RS weighing system weighs containers (method 1) with a deviation of around 500 kg. The system is integrated into the vehicle's hydraulic circuit and is therefore insensitive to impact forces. The angle of the boom is measured and the condition of the mast is ensured by a sensor. The system thus achieves the best accuracy in the world.

Weighing procedure:

A. The highest accuracy is achieved when the container is raised after being picked up and then lowered. This is how the system is operated even with calibrated systems. Weighing can be started in the lowered state and begins fully automatically at a set height. After approx. 8-10 seconds, the weight is shown on the display and saved until the next weighing.
B. The highest speed is achieved when we set the weighing process in one direction. The system becomes less accurate, but this is still sufficient in many cases. Calibration-compliant weighing cannot be carried out in this way. The automatic weighing system can still be used, however.
